Meghan MacGillivray Case

Meghan was raised in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. She obtained her law degree in 2004 from the University of New Brunswick after first obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Francis Xavier University in 2001. Meghan was called to the bar in 2005 and has a general practice background. Meghan has appeared at all levels of Court in Nova Scotia.  She is able to provide clients with excellent advice over a broad range of legal issues.

Meghan is chair of the board of directors of St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation, is an executive member of Health Care Foundations of Nova Scotia, and the Antigonish Community Navigation and Physician Recruitment and Retention Association. She is also a sessional lecturer in the business department at St.F.X. University. Meghan has previously served as an executive member of the board of the Antigonish Golf and Country Club, and chair of the Antigonish Women’s Resource Centre Board of Directors.

Meghan lives in Antigonish with her husband Andrew and their three young children.

Chris Boyd

Christopher Boyd

Chris grew up in the Cribbons Point area of Antigonish County. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree (Dual First-Class Honours in Mathematics and Economics) at St. Francis Xavier University in 1995. He then completed a Master of Science degree in statistics at Queen’s University in 1996. After six years employment as a statistician in a pair of cancer research units and on Bay Street, Chris completed a law degree at the University of Victoria in 2004. He was called to the bar in 2006 and has conducted a general practice ever since.

In addition to his legal practice, Chris is a sessional lecturer in the business department at St.F.X. University, a director of the Nova Scotia Legal Aid Commission, a board member of Canadian Association for Community Living (Antigonish), and a member of the Atlantic Fisheries Licence Appeal Board. He is a former board member of the Bergengren Credit Union and has written on legal issues for the Antigonish Casket.

Chris lives with his four daughters in Antigonish County.
